In 2019 UKeiG was delighted to announce that the winners of two UKeiG bursary places for the CILIP Conference 2019 were Natasha Chowdory and Stephen Furlong (Information and Engagement Officer, Careers Service, University of York). Stephen’s reflections on the event are included in this issue, with Natasha’s to follow in the next. It’s interesting to read about Stephen’s observations as a higher education professional on the periphery of the LIS sector. His report embraces digital innovation, the need for “good data behaviour and good knowledge management”.
