Abstract

Marja Kingma’s report on the 2016 CILIP Conference includes Dr. Alison Brettle’s presentation on how to prove the value, effectiveness and importance of professionally trained librarians, information and knowledge workers. “Library, information and knowledge professionals make a significant contribution to the overall aims of the organisations that they serve. And yet, their skill set is often over-looked and this contribution is under-valued.”
